Introduction

This qualification will allow you to provide assistance to health professionals in acute care services. You will be able to deliver care to patients within your scope of practice under the supervision of health professionals.

Entry Requirements: 

 For Domestic: 

  • For domestic students, you are required to present 100 points of identity. 
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completed Year 12 or equivalent

For International: 

  • For international students, you are required to provide a certified copy of your passport
  • Certified copy of your Academic documents
  • Completed Year 12 or equivalent
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Statement of Purpose ( SOP) 
  • CV 
  • Mode of Instruction as English letter from college or university for some countries

International students English Language requirement for some countries:

  • IELTS Academic score of at least 5.5 each band
  • TOEFL minimum score of 46
  • Cambridge English score of at least 162
  • PTE Academic score of at least 42 each band
  • OET of at least B in each band

  • 32 tuition weeks
  • 5 work placement weeks
  • 5 holiday weeks

Face to face: 32 weeks of 3 sessions per week, total 20 hours per week

Self Paced: 37 weeks of 9.87 hours per week

Work placement: 5 weeks

Upon successful completion, students may continue their studies through enrolment in:

  • Diploma of Nursing qualification
  • Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery, or
  • Other related health qualifications in which they may obtain credit for subjects already completed in the HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance

Alternatively, student may enter the workforce in roles such as:

  • Orderly
  • Ward assistant
  • Patient support assistant
  • Ward clerk
  • Assistant in Nursing

15 units of competency are required for this qualification.

The facility in the college is modern, state of the art and compliant to deliver the qualification and training needs of the students. It is designed to create comfort, style, and at the same time address the needs of students to be able to learn in a conducive learning environment. College of Nursing Education & Training Australia has: 

  • spacious training rooms with chairs and tables, data projector and white board.
  • State of the art simulation laboratory that is modelled on a 4-bed room close to a hospital set up.

 In addition there is a meeting room, dining room and kitchen and a study room/library. Reception, waiting room and college offices are welcoming and friendly. All areas are accessible.
