Participants will develop the practical capabilities needed to support ageing individuals with dignity and independence.
  • It promotes autonomy and professional accountability. Learners will cultivate the confidence to take responsibility for their own service delivery outcomes, working within organisational frameworks to meet client needs. This includes the capacity to adapt practices to diverse individualised care plans.
  • It enhances individualised service planning and delivery. Through hands-on training and structured learning, students will build skills in developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised care plans that reflect the evolving preferences and health status of older adults.
  • It fosters leadership in care settings. While direct supervision may be limited, learners will be encouraged to take initiative, model best practice, and contribute to the supervision and guidance of others within their care teams where appropriate—developing emerging leadership qualities.
